Media Ministry
Camera Operator
This person operates one of our video cameras in the sanctuary for services and special events.
• Frequency: 1-2 Sundays per month
• Times: Either of the following
- Sundays 8:15 - 10:00 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

Graphic Presentation Operator
This person runs the presentation software for services and special events. This includes words to worship songs & sermon slides. We use PowerPoint, ProPresenter, and Sunday Plus presentation software.
• Frequency: 1-2 times per month
• Times: Any of the following:
- Sundays 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Main Services)
- Sundays 8:30 - 12:45 a.m. (Jr. High, Children, Equipping Classes)
- Sundays 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. (College Service)
- Wednesdays 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. (High School Service)

Video Director
This person is responsible for everything that goes up on the screens on a Sunday Morning. He/she not only runs the video switcher, but directs the camera & graphic presentation operators as well.

Producer
This person is responsible for the flow of an entire Sunday service. He/she will coordinate all aspects of the service including video, lighting, sound, stage changes, and making sure everyone involved knows what to do. If you have a “go-getter” attitude and are up for the challenge, then you would be great for this new position!

• Times: Sundays 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Sound Engineer
This person runs sound for services and special events at Mid-Cities. Knowledge of sound equipment and a good ear are required. Training is necessary and will be provided.

- Sundays 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. (Jr. High & Children)

Lighting Engineer
Runs the light board for services and special events at Mid-Cities.

Stage Design Team
This team is responsible for the design, construction, and implementation of special stage props and sets. Skilled carpenters, artists, and people who love to work with their hands are encouraged to volunteer.

Stage Team
This team helps with stage changes during services. From setting up sermon illustrations to removing microphone stands, this team is very important to the flow of our service.

Video Team
This team is responsible for shooting video footage at special events. The footage will be edited into a highlight video for that event.

Children’s Registration Assistant
A person working as a registration assistant will be trained to operate a computer check-in kiosk on Sunday Mornings.

Nursery & Toddler Worker
A person working in the nursery must be willing to hold and play with babies during a Sunday service. A background check is required.

2 Year Old – 5 Year Old Lead Teacher
A person stepping into the role of lead teacher for our 2 year old – 5 year old room will be asked to receive and implement the predetermined curriculum, craft, and snack time.
• Frequency: 1 month on 3 times a year
• Times: Sundays at 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. & 10:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
2 Year Old – 5 Year Old Assistant Teacher
A person stepping into the role of assistant teacher for our 2 year old – 5 year old room will be asked to assist in implementation of the predetermined curriculum, craft, and snack time. Wednesday Night Engage the Spirit Nursery – 5 Year Old Assistant
A person stepping into the role of an Engage the Spirit assistant teacher for our Nursery- 5 Year Old will be asked to assist in implementation of a curriculum, craft and snack revolving around teaching on the Holy Spirit.

Childcare Assistant
A Childcare Assistant will be stepping into the role of serving as a volunteer at any of our church sponsored functions that require childcare.

Organizing the Children’s Workroom
This will consist of: putting the supplies away after each Sunday, taking inventory and labeling supply cabinets, helping us keep the Workroom organized.

This will just be a time to prepare the craft examples and supplies for each week.

Youth Ministry
Box Youth Staff (High School)
A Box youth staff member helps set up and tear down before and after Wednesday night services. They also serve in different positions to ensure that our service goes smoothly for high school students. We will place you in a position that fits well with your gifting. Positions include traffic, café, registration, game lounge, prayer team etc… If you have a heart to serve this next generation then join the Box Youth Staff today. Background check will be required.

Thrive Leader (Junior High School)
This person will help lead and teach 7th-9th grade discussion groups and develop mentoring relationships with students. He/she will also help set up the Thrive room, welcome students, and lead students in games and competitions. Must love God and have a heart for Junior high students! This person will help lead and teach 7th-9th grade small groups and disciple students as we grapple with questions they may ask in their walk with Christ. Background check will be required. These groups meet in homes in Midland and Odessa.

Host Ministry
Ushers
Assist with Sunday service details including offering collection, passing out bulletins, and other important duties.

Provide an inviting atmosphere in the conservatory on Sunday mornings by serving coffee, doughnuts, and other breakfast items.

Traffic Team
Direct traffic in the parking lot and assist people into the building on Sunday mornings.

Serve those who serve, by hosting special events and occasions. This could range from helping with funeral receptions, conference registration, or assisting with a Valentine’s banquet.

Revolution Leader
This person pours into the lives of college students and young adults by leading discussion groups, praying with people, or setting up for Revolution on Sunday nights. Anyone with a heart for young adults is encouraged to apply. An interview is required.

Marriage Ministry
Marriage Preparation Mentors
Mentor couples meet one-on-one with an assigned couple enrolled in our 8-week marriage preparation class. The mentor couple uses the FOCCUS inventory to highlight a couple’s areas of discussion based on inventory results. Training is provided in how to use the FOCCUS inventory. An interview is required.
• Frequency: 2 Sessions per year (January & September)
• Times: 2 meetings with your assigned couple
Marriage Coaches
Marriage coaches are in a healthy marriage, married at least 5 years, and willing to meet with a couple needing help relationally. Coaches meet with a couple 2-3 sessions for prayer, encouragement and practical help in the relationship. We provide training and tools. An interview is required.

• Times: 2-3 meetings with your assigned couple
Adult Equipping Classes
Teachers
Teachers and facilitators are needed to lead 4-6 week classes on a variety of topics including spiritual growth, Bible, theology, marriage, family, parenting, and more. Good communication skills including teaching gifts and/or a willingness to be trained to teach is required. Teacher Application required.
• Frequency: Year-Round
• Times: Most classes are offered at 8:30, 10, or 11:30 a.m. on Sundays
Financial Ministry
Financial Coaches
Financial coaches are individuals and couples gifted or interested in assisting people with budgeting, debt reduction, and discovering biblical principles regarding money. Financial coaches are generous givers who tithe and enjoy helping people find financial freedom. An interview is required.
• Frequency: Year-Round
• Times: 2-3 discovery meetings per client; periodic accountability updates with client
Teachers
Teachers and facilitators are needed to lead 4-6 week classes on financial topics and classes dealing with God and money. Good communication skills including teaching gifts and/or a willingness to be trained to teach is required. Teacher Application required.

Life Group Minstry
Life Group Leader
Men, women, and couples that facilitate discussion for discipleship through Bible study and relationship building. Application and interview required.

Women's Ministry
Girl’s Night Out Development Team
Assist in planning and implementing our “Girls Night Out” events. This includes creative programming, promotion, decorating and planning for food at these Sunday evening events.

• Times: Sunday afternoon and evening plus planning times

Women to Woman Teams
Team with three other women who plan and host an evening meal for a few relative newcomers to MID-CITIES. Our goal is to help newcomers connect with established members and get integrated into family life at Mid-Cities.
• Frequency: Twice/year
• Times: Established by Team
Women’s Bible Study Leader/Host
Host and/or lead Women’s Bible Studies. These may be textual studies from the Word, video studies, or studies of biblically based books. You may host the group in your home while someone else leads the study or do both. Study Leaders will need to be interviewed by a pastor before filling the role. The Leader chooses the study.
• Frequency: Women’s Bible Studies kick-off three times a year
• Times: Groups meet once a week and studies vary from 6 to 12 weeks in length depending on the study chosen by the group
Divorce Recovery
Divorce Recovery Facilitator
This position is for those who have experienced divorce in the past and have found healing in Christ. This position is open to singles or “remarrieds”. It involves facilitating small groups during our Divorce Recovery Seminars and four weeks of follow up support groups. You will receive basic training for leading groups.
• Frequency: One or two times a year
• Times: All day Saturday seminar followed by four Sundays of growth groups that typically meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Other Opportunities
Office Volunteer
Come up to the office during business hours to help run copies, make phone calls, assemble books, or whatever else needs to be done. This is perfect for anyone who has some extra time during the week.

Phone Operator
Come answer phones during lunch to relieve our receptionist.

Building Maintenance
Help change a light, fix a broken shelf, or clean the parking lot. This is a great place to serve if you like to take care of the House of God.
