This year we are sending three separate, but overlapping teams to serve in Israel/Palestine. Due to the small size of the refugee camp, the most strategic way to to serve the people is to bring smaller teams for longer time. We feel that this strategy is the best way to reach these people. We are partnering with one of our missionaries in the region, Peter Laffoon, to plan these trips.

Israel/Palestine - Trip One

 

Dates:

July 31 - August 10, 2011

Open To:

Anyone 18 and older

Purpose:

Travel to a Palestinian refugee camp to set up and conduct medical/dental services in a clinic. There are many people who go without any medical treatment. Minor injuries and toothaches can be big problems due to the lack of medical help. Our goal is to show the love of God to these people by caring for their physical and spiritual needs.

Price Includes:
• Airfare
• Lodging
• Ground Transportation
• Meals
• Medicine/Clinic costs
• Outreach materials
• Sightseeing

Price Excludes:
• Items of personal nature (laundry, telephone bills, snacks, souvenirs, etc.).

Support
Writing support letters is the most effective way to raise funds. All support will be raised as a TEAM. Money that comes in will be credited to the price of your trip. However, any amount over the price of the trip will be applied to the team as a whole. Excess funds will be used during the mission trip as decided by the Missions Pastor and team leader.

Travel to a Palestinian refugee camp to build, renovate, remodel, and repair homes, etc. This could be anything from minor home repairs to building a house. Our goal is to show the love of Christ to these people by practically meeting their physical and spiritual needs.

Israel/Palestine - Trip Three

 

Dates:

August 12 - 22, 2011

Open To:

Anyone 18 and older
Children age 12 and up are welcome to go if accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Purpose:

Conduct the first part of a Palestinian camera project. The goal of this trip will be to breakdown psychological walls in the people of this refugee camp. The children there are known as "annoying" and not cared for. This project will show them that they are loved and worthy. The team will go with the children and take pictures of the land, telling them how beautiful it is and how God made it, just like them. Once done taking pictures the team will create an art gallery for the people of Israel to see the Lord's beauty. These pictures will also be made into a photo book that will be available to purchase all around the world. The funds raised through the sell of the book will then go back to help the people of that community.
