What are Life Groups?
Life Groups are small groups of 6 to 8 individuals or 5 to 6 married couples who meet on a regular basis for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and accountability. They are committed to meet with one another for 12-24 months and to be part of one another's lives as sources of care, encouragement and friendship.

Why does Mid-Cities Do Life Groups?
We believe that small groups are the optimum environment for life change. Life Groups are places where real life and real issues can be discussed. They are places where we can celebrate the successes and blessings of life and care for and encourage one another during the tough times. They are places where we build relationships that last a life time and experience the love of God through one another.

What kind of Life Groups do you have?
Family Life Groups are groups of 5 to 6 married couples who meet weekly or twice a month in homes for fellowship, Bible Study, prayer and encouragement. Most of these groups are made up of couples who are in similar life stages (young children, teens, empty nester, etc.). Groups with children each develop their own plans for how to involve and care for the children when they meet. The study in these groups will not only focus on personal spiritual growth but also on strengthening marriage and parenting skills.

Men's & Women's Life Groups are made up of 5 to 6 individuals who meet weekly in homes, restaurants, or offices for fellowship, Bible study and encouragement. In addition to focusing on individual spiritual growth there is often a focus on men's and women's issues and God's answers for those issues.

Single Life Groups are made up of 6 to 12 individuals who meet weekly or every other week for fellowship, study and encouragement as they grow in their walk with God. Singles over 25 meet every Sunday in building 3A at 10:00 a.m. for teaching and small group discussion as well.

How do I get into a Life Group?
Lifelink is our primary way for getting into new Life Groups. Although you may receive a personal invitation to an existing group your easiest on-ramp will be through LifeLink, an event where people meet and connect with one another to begin new groups. LifeLink is offered four times a year.

Connecting Events are congregational events were men, women, singles and couples come together in gatherings of 25 to several hundred where they can meet others members of their spiritual family. Those newly formed friendships often result in an invitation to be part of an existing Life Group. Usually connecting events are offered once a month in various formats. These will be advertised and listed on the church calendar.
