Frequently Asked Questions

When Are The Services?
Sunday service times are 9, 10:25 and 11:45 a.m. Both services are identical in content. The MCC Café is open before and after services for complimentary donuts, breakfast bars, and coffee.

What Is A Mid-Cities Service Like?
A typical service at Mid-Cities is contemporary and relevant. The service begins with upbeat praise & worship led by our gifted musicians and singers. During worship, believers have the opportunity to take communion at the side of the stage (see next question). Our services also include several multi-media elements. You will find yourself engaged through a powerful message usually given by our senior pastor, Daniel Stephens. After the service is dismissed, leaders are available at the front of the church to pray with individuals and/or answer any questions you may have.

Why Do Some People Walk To The Front During The Worship Time?
You will see many people going forward during a worship time to take communion. This optional communion time is provided for all believers. Communion stations are located at the front sides of the sanctuary. Participants pick up a wafer, communion cup, and return to their seats for personal reflection and prayer. We take communion together as a church family every other month.

How Do You Recognize Guests During A Service?
We are always thankful to have guests in our services. In an effort to help you feel welcome and comfortable, we do not single out guests. We simply acknowledge that guests are present, thank you for coming, and encourage you to complete a Communication Card and take it the kiosk after the service.

Where Do I Take My Children?
We have children’s check-in stations located at the nursery and in the foyer next to the Box (see map). All children birth through sixth grade are required to check in each week. Our friendly Kid’s Planet staff will greet you and instruct you to the appropriate room to meet your child’s teacher.
• The Nursery, for newborn through 18 months, is located in our main foyer.
• Toddler through Kindergarten rooms are located in Rooms 101-105.
• 1st through 6th grade meets in The Box.

What Security Do You Provide For My Children?
We take security seriously. All children receive a printed name tag with a matching parent/child ID tag. The parent must present the matching ID tag when picking the child up. No child is released without the proper ID tag. We also have professional security guards on site to monitor our facilities throughout weekend services.

What Should I Wear?
You will find a wide range of attire; most people at MCC prefer casual dress. We know that God is much more concerned with the person’s heart than their clothes.

Where Can I Get Assistance When I Arrive at Mid-Cities?
We have friendly staff at the kiosks located in the main foyer across from the sanctuary to answer your questions and assist you in finding classes and buildings on the campus.
